B-TD was founded by Jonathan Ben-Tovim, an industrial designer with a background spanning the UK and Australia. After years of designing everything from medical instruments to kitchen appliances, Jonathan started BTD as a hands-on creative outlet.
Early Projects
What began with a few custom pieces for a friend’s bar in Melbourne turned into a passion for designing and crafting locally. Each piece was originally made by hand in spare moments, and that hands-on approach remains at the heart of our studio.
Expanding Overseas
Today, B-TD serves clients not just in Australia but across the US, Asia, and Europe, bringing Melbourne’s design sensibility to a global audience. Our aim remains simple: to share innovative, well-crafted lighting and furniture with the world
